Recording Session for ‘Cold November’ at Monarch Studios

In September 2015, I had the pleasure of recording at Monarch Studios in Vancouver, BC with a wonderful group of musicians. We were recording one of my new originals titled ‘Cold November’.

Under the direction of my awesome and talented Producer David Sikula, we were able to lay down Bass, Drums, String Quartet and Lead Vocals. I was so thrilled to be working with all new musicians on this project and especially Vancouver Symphony Orchestra string players.

I also had the joy of having my dear friend Claire Ponsford in studio with us capturing the day on camera. Click on the photos below to see the full images!

I was blown away to spend some time in studio with Marysa. Witnessing all the different elements that come together to make beautiful music is pretty magical. An amazing songwriter and a beautiful voice, Marysa Taylor is indeed one to watch.” — Claire Ponsford, Ponsford and Worth Photography

Ok so let me introduce to you, the guys…

On bass, we had the wonderful Cory Curtis. On the drums, the very talented Sam Cartwright. Our four amazing string players were Marcus Takizawa, Finn Manniche, Reg Quiring and last but not least – composer, arranger & violinist Cameron Wilson.

Since wrapping up that session, David Sikula and I have been working hard at Demitone Productions to finish up this beautiful song along with three of my new other originals.

I can’t wait to share this new music with you all.
