Exciting new single release ‘Cold November’

I’m so thrilled and proud to be able to share this new single with you all. It was quite the journey creating this track from start to finish and the final product is a great reflection of that. Thank you all so much for your constant support and encouragement. I love that I get to do what I love because of you all.

The Team

For this single, I had the immense pleasure of recording at Demitone Productions and at Monarch Studios with a new amazing group of talent. I always look forward to working and learning from different musicians, and this was no exception. What a joy it was to work with them. And I’m so happy and pleased about the mark they left on this tune.

On Drums – I had the brilliant Samuel Cartwright. On bass – the crazy talented Cory Curtis.
Strings – were played by four absolutely wonderful Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Players: Marcus Takizawa , Finn Manniche , Reg Quiring, and violinist/arranger Cameron Wilson .

And of course, HUGE thanks goes to my insanely amazing producer, mixer, sound engineer, and friend on the guitar – David Sikula. He has been such an amazing support and mentor to me over the years and I know we are both really proud of the work we did together on this track.

Special thanks to Elisa Pangsaeng from Monarch Studios for her fab engineering work.

What a joy and honour to work with this incredible group of musicians and I look forward to future collaborations.

The Music, arrangement, and lyrics were written and composed by me. All vocals and piano were performed by yours truly as well.

I would like to thank The Nickersons for the beautiful album cover photography.

Lastly, I had the pleasure of having the single mastered by Lursen Mastering in LA, which elevated the song so beautifully.

This song means so much to me and I am so proud of the finished result. It’s so exciting to finally be able to share it with you all.

And of course, as always, an extra extra special thank you to my husband Adam. You never stop supporting me and you are the reason this is all possible. x

Lyrics Cold November

Things seemed so happy, too good to be true

Finally feeling like my turn

But the days got shorter, and hours began to fade

I knew, I knew

I found, I was trying to be perfect

I felt, I was nothing but broken

When the tallest trees fell and the storm came through

I knew, I knew

If it keeps raining, this Cold November

How could I remember, what its all for

Can someone please help me carry this burden

All of this hurting, on this cold winter day

This was a secret that I didn’t want to keep

It started to haunt those who knew in their sleep

When the car turned over and the smiles faded away

I knew, I knew

If it keeps raining, this Cold November

How could I remember, what its all for

Can someone please help me carry this burden

All of this hurting, on this cold winter day

It’s amazing, oh it’s amazing

How your courage stands the test of time

And it doesn’t have to be so cold outside

If it keeps raining, this Cold November

How could I remember, what its all for

Can someone please help me carry this burden

All of this hurting, on this cold winter day

If it keeps raining, this Cold November

How could I remember, what its all for

How can I lose, this feeling it’s over

Put a hand on my shoulder, on this cold winter day
